Event Management Platform
|
|
Business and system events are used to coordinate enterprise wide and inter-company
business processes. Events communicate directly with the business process models from a
variety of sources. Events can be received directly from applications and data interfaces
based on predefined conditions. Users interacting with a web application or communications
directly from other systems also give rise to events that initiate business process
activity. Triggering of events in other systems can be achieved using remote procedure
calls, by passing data to other systems or can be derived from decision nodes or algorithms.
Events initiate or complete business process steps. There are a wide range of standard and
configurable events which will automatically receive or pass critical event information to and from
other business applications and systems.
Key aspects of event management:
- Visibility of business events
- Conditional events
- Control over event sequence
- Early notification of critical events
- Consolidation of events for KPI monitoring
- Coordinate dependent business events
